About Us

Woodland Quilts, LLC opened its doors January 7, 2001 on the corner of Main St. and Whitewater Ave. in Whitewater, WI.  Since that time the number of friends that have come to us has made us grow.  Classes, clubs and lots and lots of fabric made us realize that we must have more space.       We moved to our present location, 147 W. Main St., in November, 2005.  It’s bigger, brighter atmosphere makes it a pleasure to shop, take a class or just come to meet friends.

Woodland Quilts, LLC carries a wide variety of kits, notions, books and patterns for quilters of all skill levels.  Our fabrics are extensive, from bright and colorful to dark and dramatic.   We have plenty to choose from including batiks, theme prints, ‘30s and ‘40s reproductions and the best selection of marbled colors to be found anywhere.

Our classes include the very popular Beginning Piecing, Intermediate Quilting and classes on the Handi Quilter and Voyager 17 machines as well as many others, all taught by a very skilled and knowledgeable staff.

Kim Kreger has taught numerous quilting techniques and classes including mid-arm machine quilting, trapunto and paper piecing to name a few.

Cheryl Kehm has been teaching quilting for more than 20 years and still continues to teach at Madison Area Technical College, Fox Valley Technical College and Southwest Technical College.   She has taught many workshops and classes including the Nancy’s Notions Sewing and Quilting Expo in Madison.

Unique to Woodland Quilts, LLC are the mid-arm quilting classes.    After taking the initial learning course for the Voyager 17 or Hand- Quilter 16 you may rent these machines from us and quilt your own project.  Not only does this benefit you by making the project your own, it is also more economical than sending your top out to be quilted.
